Vita & Philosophy
The Biosphere Group is a team of professionals
who provide and orchestrate skills necessary to
insure excellence for our clients' broad range of
project requirements.

Since each varies in scope and complexity,
we add talent as required and coordinate effort
to assure desired outcome.

To a large extent, the internal environment
(what is within a person) creates external reality.
We deal with the planning+design of external
environments.
Nevertheless, we seek to create built
environments that enable people to fulfill the
measure of their creation.

The solution to the complex environmental
problems that society faces
must be solved with a higher level of thinking
than the level at which they were created.
Man’s dominion of the Earth exercised without
understanding and respect for its interdependent
life sustaining systems and lesser life forms has
borne the bitter fruit of a highly polluted planet
and unbalanced ecosystems.

Past practices have undermined the very
foundation upon which life depends.

This lifestyle is not sustainable.
Therefore, a new paradigm must be utilized
at all levels of humanity’s method of living
in order to create a better future.

We assemble and orchestrate expert teams
carefully picked for each project.
This interdisciplinary approach working with
clients who embrace similar values
results in sustainable solutions that meet today’s
needs while providing future generations a
better heritage.

Our continuous quest for excellence produces
built environments in which program elements
are organized to reflect social, programmatic,
ecological, geographic, and economic drivers.

Creative designs employ biomimicry to work with
natural systems. Sensitive and skillful application
of sound environmental principles of planning
and design enables opportunity optimization of
each site. Habitations are designed to be healthy,
green, and sustainable with particular attention
to the use of passive solar energy and other
climatological influences.

The primary expertise of our associates include
landscape architecture, city planning,
building architecture, geographical & economic
planning, storm water management,
water resource planning, environmental
sciences, land planning, project management,
outdoor lighting and horticulture.

Culture, programs, economics, buildings, energy
systems, landform, vegetation, geology, ecology,
biology, site physiology and site physiography,
pedestrian and vehicular transportation systems,
communications, solar and wind influences and
hydrologic cycles are some of the factors
considered in the planning and design process.
Cognition of and design ability with these factors
coupled with a mutually respectful and
participatory process with stakeholders
result in more successful solutions.
